PUBLIC NOTICE – CODE RED COVID-19

Good Evening. The Northbridge Board of Health has been monitoring cases of COVID-19 and has noted a significant increase in cases. As of November 10th we are reporting 48 active cases in the Town of Northbridge. The Board of Health is asking residents to remain vigilant.

So that we may protect the health and safety of our community, we strongly urge ALL residents to abide by the “Stay at Home” advisory issued by Governor Baker; Persons over the age of 5 are to wear a face covering over your nose and mouth when in a public location, whether indoors or outdoors; Practice social distancing by avoiding groups of ten or more people and keeping a distance of six feet from others; Avoid close contact with people who are sick; Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands; Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds or longer, and use a hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol if soap and water are not available; Cover coughs and sneezes, throw tissues away and wash your hands immediately afterward; And clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. If you are sick, please stay home.

Please note, that as of 2 pm today, the Town Manager has closed all Town Buildings to the public until further notice. Town staff will be providing services mainly in remote fashion during normal office hours and will return phone call messages and communicate via email with the public.
